Frequently asked questions
Can I import my existing collection?
Yes. Upload an Excel or CSV file, your export from Goodreads, Babelio or LibraryThing, or just paste a list of ISBNs. Columns such as title, author, status, rating and date read are detected automatically and duplicates are skipped. You can even upload a photo of your shelf.
What does it cost beyond 10 books?
Up to 10 books everything is free. For bigger collections there are yearly plans with more room, up to unlimited. Current prices are shown above and on the pricing page. You can switch at any time.
What happens during import if my plan is too small?
Before importing you see how many books fit your plan. Upgrade first, or import now and add the rest later: books already imported are skipped automatically. Wishlist entries don’t count towards the limit.
Is there a mobile app?
virtualibrary.lu runs in the browser and can be added to your iPhone or Android home screen like an app, barcode scanner included.
Where is my data, and can I export it?
Your data is stored on a server in Luxembourg and is not shared. You can download your library as a spreadsheet or PDF at any time.
